I’m Jill and I am a highly experienced Secondary English teacher who holds a BA (Hons) in English Literature with QTS. I have taught English across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. In my previous school, I gained leadership experience as a Literacy Coordinator, Second in English and as Head of a large English Faculty. For the last fifteen years, I have led Teacher Training at Bridgewater High School and have been responsible for the support and development of Early Career Teachers. Five years ago, I set up the School Direct Initial Teacher Training Programme which is based across TCAT schools. I successfully lead the ITT programme and guide cohorts of trainees towards employment as teachers whilst continuing to teach English at Key Stages 3 and 4. Last year, I became a Teach First Facilitator and delivers the ECF programme to Year 1 Early Career Teachers and Mentors from Warrington schools.
