An evening full of fun and making memories with our friends ♥️

Campfire time, where we toasted marshmallows, sang songs and told jokes! Now it’s hot chocolate and marshmallows with a movie and colouring. Not sure we will be going to sleep any time soon! 🤦♀️@sycamore_tree1
What a beautiful day for some outdoor adventures on our Year 2 residential at Tattenhall.
I have just left our lovely Year 2 children in their pjs, watching a movie and drinking hot chocolate.
They’ve been fantastic and loved the campfire and singing (shouting!!!).
Hopefully, they’ll be 😴 very soon!
Sweet dreams Year 2 ♥️
Next week, we launch our new KS3 Reading Diary initiative 📖
Timed for World Book Day and the National Year of Reading, this project aims to boost wellbeing, confidence, and attainment. Reading for pleasure is a superpower - let’s help our students find their next favorite book.

I love that this superstar is promoting reading for pleasure with her classmates and sharing the best bits of her favourite book.
Our weekly Book Club is a great way of getting children excited about books and creating a reading culture. 📚 ♥️

What a star! Prepared a PowerPoint to deliver to her classmates, and read an excerpt from one of her favourite books ‘The Whizz Pop Chocolate Shop’ by Kate Saunders. Well done! 📗📚 #greatsankeyreading
Our children have been taught important lessons on the positives and negatives of AI for @safeinternetday
Please talk to your child about this.

As part of #SaferInternetDay we have been looking at whether using AI is okay 👍🏼 or not okay 👎🏼 #greatsankeycomputing
We are building up to the Year 4 multiplication check which will take place in summer term. Keep practising those times tables everyone!

This afternoon we have been practising our times times using @PlayBlooket crypto hack is definitely our favourite #greatsankeymaths
A sense of ‘belonging’ in a place is so important. When we feel like we ‘fit’, feel safe and feel happy, we have the ingredients to thrive. ♥️

As part of children’s mental health week we have been looking at our ‘happy place’ and thinking about where we feel we belong most 🧠😀

Our Year 5 children take their responsibility of being a reading buddy to our KS1 children very seriously. #BeResponsible

For book club on Friday, our theme was our favourite authors. We brought our own books to school, and even had the pleasure of sharing these with our year 1 reading buddies. 📖 @OakClass_Sankey
This is always a favourite unit in our UKS2 PE curriculum. Our younger children also have the benefit of being taught skills by our older pupils.

We loved being with @pinetreeclass for their real leaders topic. We loved taking part in the activities they set up. Thank you! #greatsankeysport
A great book club focus for Children’s Mental Health Week. ♥️

As it is Children’s Mental Health Week, our book club focus is friendship and kindness❤️
Some of us brought our own books from home to share with friends. #greatsankeyPSHE
