The government website Get Into Teaching can help you with the application process. Some subjects do fill up so please get your application in early.
What you need to complete the application
Personal statement – explaining why you want to become a teacher and explaining your passion for teaching. Also include any experience you have of working with young people.
Academic reference – if you are applying shortly after leaving University
Second reference – from an employer or someone who has known you for a number of years who can support your suitability to be a teacher (but not a relative). If you are not still in contact with your University tutor then employer and colleague references can be used.
An application cannot be submitted until the references are attached.
