Peter is an experienced director, leader and educator, with top class engineering and business qualifications, plus substantial international experience. 27 years in industry in a range of commercial, project management, production and engineering roles, plus three years in the Foreign Office as Counsellor at the British Embassy, Tokyo.
In 2000 Peter moved into Higher Education to make a difference in Manchester. Recognised as a leader in the higher education enterprise field, culminating with his appointment as Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Enterprise) at Loughborough University. Further posts in Research Councils and regional development agencies followed.
Peter was Chair of The Sutton Academy (TSA), bringing it into TCAT, following substantial improvements at TSA.
